Nutritional Talk

Hello all! The new year has got off to a really busy start I am glad to say and all are settling in and finding the new premises much to our liking. The other therapists have enhanced the services provided and are available for input into problems.

We have a little freebie for you next month - Wendy Dineen the nutritional therapist has agreed to do an evening talk on the importance of healthy nutrition. This takes place on Tuesday the 12th of April at 5.30. If you do fancy attending it would be helpful if you could let Lynn know (01248 360999)so we can organise seating!!

Happy New Year

Apologies for the delay in putting up the next post. As some of you are already aware we moved premises before Christmas, and now the paint has dried, the rooms are filling up and Lynn finally got her new desk!

The new location offers greater potential in the fact that we will be able to liaise closely with our new colleagues, Tryfan Hypnotherapy, Lesley Wills (functional trainer) and Wendy Dineen (nutritional therapist). We are currently in negotiation with other therapists and will keep you informed of our progress.

All the very best for the new year

She has attended the Atlanta and Sydney Olympic games as a Team Physiotherapist. (For more information see the about us page).

The underlying philosophy of the clinic is based on the belief that we need to work with the bodies natural healing processes and help facilitate change which ultimately results in longer term progress.

We aim to manage the cause of your disorder rather than just treat your symptoms. Initially we will establish the history of your problem, then undertake a thorough clinical examination resulting in a diagnosis and specific appropriate individual management plan.

At the end of your first session you will have a clear idea of the problem, the course of treatment to be undertaken and will have started your treatment.

What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is the combined approach to soft tissue, neural and joint mobilization, manipulation and exercise. The specific tailored approach to the rehabilitation process will involve the client at all times.

Why Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is unique in its complete assessment of the three important systems within the musculoskeletal problems: the joints; the muscles and the nerves. The assessment is then combined into an integral treatment process, while our long-term goal is to prevent the chance of reoccurrence by patient education, understanding and participation. The approach is not passive and you will play an active role in your rehabilitation from the first session and thus learn to manage the problem which avoids issues of dependency on treatment.
